Tiramisu

Here’s a simple and easy tiramisu recipe that you can whip up in no time:

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled

2-3 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

1 pack (about 24) ladyfinger cookies

Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

  1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:

Mix the cooled espresso (or coffee) with the coffee liqueur if you’re using it.

  1. Assemble the Tiramisu:

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture (don’t soak too long, as they’ll become too soggy). Arrange a single layer of dipped ladyfingers in a 9×9 inch baking dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.

Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and spread the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.

  1. Chill:

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  1. Serve:

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired.

Enjoy your easy homemade tiramisu!
